We really love and appreciate a good pant. A truly great pair of pants can make you look instantly chic and effortlessly cool. We love pants of all kinds — wide, skinny, high-waisted, drop-crotch, printed, colored, long, cropped. So of course, we love this slouchy menswear-y offering from Rachel Comey. She does some version of this silhouette almost every season. Why? Because it’s perfect!

Look 1: Take these babies into your winter weekends with your favorite cozy oversized sweater and a messenger bag. Shown here with Vanessa Bruno Athé fair isle sweater, Vanessa Bruno Athé woven messenger bag.

Look 2: Turn business casual on its head with sequins for day, a classic jazz shoe, and a chic tote. Swap out the flat for a heel, and go meet the gals for cocktails. The perfect outfit. Shown here with Surface to Air Ma sequin top, n.d.c. Lousa jazz oxford, Clare Vivier Tropézienne tote, Wendy Nichol double wool shell necklace (worn as bracelet).

Look 3: Throw on your favorite tee (graphic, colored or plain black or white) and then just pile on the accessories. Heels or flats, these pants paired with a tee can go anywhere from work to wine, kitchen to soccer field. Shown here with Vanessa Bruno Athé sheer pocket tee, Rachel Comey check scarfKora diamond brass cuffs.

Look 4: The ultimate in chic workwear, add a printed button up (and a jacket and tie, even, if you’re so inclined), a ladylike but powerful heel and everyone will take you seriously. Shown here with Rachel Comey mensy shirt, Rachel Comey Opal pumps.

We L O V E a printed onesie. We buy them all the time — if we see one on a rack, on the wall, in a window, we instantly gravitate to it. And, really, can you blame us? Such an impact, so much personality, and so easy.

We know it seems challenging, but it really isn’t. A print, especially a small one, acts like camoflauge, so you don’t have to worry about any of your hidden secrets. And as for accessorizing, it’s pretty much all done for you. Pick neutral shoes/jacket/bag and go.

Look 1: Transition the sunshine into fall with a lightweight jacket (an awesome leather jacket would look great, too). Extra points if you add a corsage. Shown with Garde Fischer wool/fleece jacket and n.d.c. Lousa jazz shoes and Red Shift Couture leather corsage.

Look 2: Want another easy accessory? Try a belt! The key to finding the right belt to go with an outfit is this: it’s trial and error! Get in your closet and start trying belts. You’ll know when you’ve found the right one. Shown here with Rachel Comey tassel belt.

Look 3: Play up the ladylike factor and take that pretty little onesie out to dinner — with a classic pump in nude and a cool clutch, you’ll scream confidence. Shown here with 3.1 Phillip Lim nude suede pump and Tenoversix Butler clutch in Tuscan.

Look 4: Have fun with it. It’s a printed onesise, for crying out loud! There are no rules. Throw on one of your favorite short or cropped tops, add a funky shoe, and top it with a little bit more color. Caution: Must be worn with attitude. Shown here with Gar-de batwing top, Rachel Comey Addis lace-up bootie and Dream Collective record bead necklace.

Before summer is over, embrace this little guy. If you don’t have one, there’s no time like the present (this one’s on sale here!) If you already own one, take yours out for one more spin. Flowers and sunshine go hand-in-hand — and they both definitely make us feel like celebrating.
