So, you guys, we certainly never in our wildest dreams could have imagined that we would be telling you that we produced, styled and starred in an advertorial for the Gap! Crazy, right?
We were absolutely beyond when Rue Magazine asked us to produce and participate in their latest installment for the Gap’s Styld.by campaign featuring 4 of Chicago’s “dynamic duos”: our friends from Luxury Garage Sale (with the adorable Sierra standing in for LGS co-founder, Lindsay Segal), the delightful Hillary and Kelly of the equally delightful A Drink With Chicago, the everygirls behind the Everygirl, and us!
The gist behind the campaign is to see how real girls style their wardrobes with pieces from the Gap. Arlene went straight towards the camel studio sweater and I made a beeline for the piped academy blazer.
These 2 pieces are perfect for us because they are basic in color and silhouette, which gives us the perfect opportunity to get creative. We each reached directly for Gary Graham chiffon to complete our ensembles.
For me: the Gap’s Bleecker tee and Gary Graham’s sheer panel skirt with my fave Rachel Comey booties, Brixton hat and vintage YSL beads did the trick.
For Arlene: the Gary Graham chiffon slip with her favorite n.d.c. heeled boots and a Wendy Nichol necklace (and top-bun for good measure) were just what the doctor ordered.

For the other girls, we used some of our favorite vintage and modern pieces to give them each a look that was uniquely their own.

Thanks so much to Rue and the Gap for having us! What an awesome experience!
