Kit it >> Falconiere

Oh, boy, did we find a good one!

So a couple of years ago, we were on a showroom appointment and we saw this incredibly unique accessory line, Falconiere. The piece/s that immediately stood out was a bikini set made entirely out of chainmaille. We’d never really seen anything quite like it. The line was filled with fascinating creation after fascinating creation. Leather, chains, chainmaille, and maribou; necklaces, collars, ties, bracelets. Our kind of statement-jewelry.

Fast-forward a bit. We stumble upon Falconiere (the absolutely lovely Juniper Rose, designer) on Instagram. We start to remember how much we loved her. And we started to see pictures of her latest work. Ridiculous, y’all.

We really love to make a statement. And we really love pieces that make a statement. Easily. And Falconiere is, and does, just that. Jeans, button-up, chainmaille bib. Now that’s easy!

We realize that it takes a certain kind of gal to rock a chainmaille harness, but Juniper caters to slightly shier girls, too. Her chainmaille and maribou pendant and cuff are statement-making, but delicate, elegant and simple. And soft. That might sound weird, but it’s true. And pretty appealing, no? I mean, how much jewelry do you own that you would refer to as soft?

We love Falconiere so much that we really wanted to share it. And share it in more ways than one. So we’re throwing a Falconiere party!

Join us on Sunday, May 5th at Vera Chicago for a trunk show featuring the Fall 2013 collection from Falconiere. And in addition to the trunk show, there will also be an exhibit of works by Kirsten Miccoli, styled by us, and starring Falconiere. We’re thoroughly jazzed and would love for you to join us!

Trust us. If ever there was an opportunity to get something amazing for the ‘kit’, this is it.

playing with purple

Bet you thought emerald was the universal color of the year, didn’t you? Well surprise surprise, it isn’t. In Norway, it’s PURPLE! Back in late 2012 we were tapped by a Scandinavian design company to style a color-of-the-year campaign for the Norwegian market, so we got down to business and played with some purple!
